How to Pick a Fun and Unique Baby Name

Some parents like to go with traditional baby names, and others like to be on the look out for unique baby names that you won’t hear everywhere you go. I have a very common name that was very popular when I was born, and I wish that my mom had looked for something that wasn’t quite as common as my toddler bedding. My daughter has a name that is not really popular, but it certainly isn’t obscure either. Though it might be something that is new to many who meet her, I wouldn’t have chosen it if it were something heard to pronounce or spell.
There are some moms who choose unique baby names but don’t consider what they are doing to their children. If you take a traditional name and give it a very wacky spelling, you are dooming your child to a life of having to spell her name for every single person he or she meets. I have seen children with names and children room decor that should probably just have been spelled the way they have always been. Changing the spelling isn’t really giving them one of the unique baby names; it’s just giving them a headache.
There are many great names out there that might be considered unique baby names, but they are easy enough to say and to spell. We will all have to spell our names for people at some point, but don’t make your child feel like they have been saddled with a name they will end up hating because of the spelling. There is no point in giving your children unique baby names or kids bedding just because they are different. Do it because it reflects who you are. Giving strongly ethnic names to children who are not of that ethnic group is fine, but you will cause them a lot of confusion in the future.
If you want to find unique baby names, you can look all over the place to find them. You can look in baby books, or you can find name lists online if you want to do a search. In your search for unique baby names, there is one thing that you should consider. If you want something truly unique you have to make it up yourself. Though that may sound impossible, it can be done. Nothing is truly unique unless there is only one. If you have heard it or found it anywhere else it is not unique. Perhaps unusual or unordinary might be better words.

Me and my husband preferred old and unique name for our daughter. It takes months since decide on the name of our choice…. Every name has it meaning and story on how it was picked to be the name of the child…….great post

I have to share the story of couple who have unique spelled names. first they pick names that are popular and later on they decided to have their baby a unique names. They get the names in the oldest list of names from the calendar. Thanks.
